Some are also hosted as official Rugged events throughout the year

THE RUGGED STANDARD

Every Rugged Challenge follows the same principle.

• It must be completed in full
• It must be tracked and verifiable
• It must be honest

This is not about perfection.
It is about integrity.

If you cut corners, the only person you cheat is yourself.

CORE RUGGED CHALLENGES

You may split the distance however you choose.
Intervals, blocks or halves.

The only non negotiable rule:

21km must be run
21km must be walked

This challenge is not about speed.
It is about control.

Discipline is running when you want to walk.
Discipline is walking when you want to quit.

This challenge is ideal for first time long distance hikers and those building resilience gradually.

Burn a set calorie target in one continuous workout.

Suggested levels:
• 1,000 calories
• 2,000 calories
• 3,000 calories
• 4,000 calories

You may use multiple machines or movements.

The only rule:
The effort must be continuous.

This challenge tests grit, pacing and mental endurance.
