Project 39 Challenge 2 ERG Marathons
Project 39 Challenge 2 ERG Marathons

Challenge 2 in Project 39 was The Trident. First proper team challenge and the first time a lot of people were introduced to Project 39.
We had 27 people turn up at Chapter Gym on a Sunday and get involved.
The setup was simple. A full marathon on the SkiErg, a marathon on the rower, and a marathon on the Assault Bike.
We split into teams and rotated between each machine until all three distances were completed.
I think it took around three and a half hours in total. I’ll have to double check the exact time on Strava, but it was in and around that.
It was a hot one. Proper sweaty. Studio filled up quickly and it just stayed like that the whole way through.
What made it was the mix of people.
Different ages, different fitness levels, different backgrounds. Some people more experienced, some just there to have a go. But everyone got stuck in, whether it was rowing, skiing or on the bike.

No one really held back.
People gave up their Sunday to come down, help out, and be part of it, which I don’t take lightly.
We got all three marathons done as a team.
That was the main thing.
It brought together the Rugged community, the Chapter community, and it all fed back into raising money and awareness for Demelza.
That’s what this one was about.
